SAXON Confirmed For MOTÖRHEAD's 30th Anniversary Concert
April 28, 2005British heavy metal legends SAXON have been confirmed for MOTÖRHEAD's 30th Anniversary concert at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, U.K. on June 16. Also appearing on the bill will be GIRLSCHOOL.
In other SAXON-related news, the band have been added to the following DEEP PURPLE dates in Spain:
Jul. 27 - Quijote Rock - Puertollano / Ciudad Real, ESP
Jul. 29 - Merida Rock Festival - Merida, ESP
Jul. 30 - Festival - Atarfe / Granada, ESP
SAXON recently officially cancelled their tours of Europe, USA, South America and United Arab Emirates after the band's frontman Biff Byford suffered a major loss when his house in the Normandie area of France burned down. According to a statement from the band's management, Biff, his wife and their children got out of the house at the very last minute and nobody was hurt. The European tour dates have since been rescheduled for September/October.
